Bed and Breakfast and table d’hôtes
The concept
La Maison des Hôtes offers a bed and breakfast experience in the heart of the Alpes de Haute Provence, between Sisteron and Lake Serre-Ponçon. Our services are similar to those of a hotel, but we welcome you in our home to one of our rooms or dormitories and automatically provide breakfast.
You can also choose our table d’hôtes formula when you book, and dine at the family table in the evening for a full meal prepared with love and quality local produce. We will of course listen to your tastes and dietary restrictions, but we are not a restaurant. That’s why we offer a unique dish, and ask those who wish to take advantage of it to let us know at least a few days in advance. Alternatively, we can offer you a simpler snack based on cheese and/or cold meats and other local specialities.
We also provide bed linen and guarantee the cleanliness of our facilities, but although our services are similar to those of a hotel, we are not a hotel. The difference between a bed & breakfast and a hotel is that we welcome you into our family home.
The concept is also different from that of a classic “gîte” or “meublé de tourisme”, as you’ll find many on Airbnb, as we’ll be at home for the duration of your stay. Of course, we’ll guarantee you privacy in your rooms and in the living room at your disposal, but we’ll be sharing the same house, the same garden and the same swimming pool. That’s why we’ve drawn up appropriate rules and regulations. Beyond simple accommodation, this B&B experience also implies a meeting between us, which we want to preserve as much as possible, because that’s why we open our doors to you: to meet you in the best possible conditions, and to enable you to discover our region in the best possible conditions.
