La Maison des Hôtes offers you an authentic bed and breakfast experience, with services on par with those of a hotel, in the heart of the Alpes de Haute Provence, between Sisteron, the Gorges de la Méouge, the Colorado Provençal, Lac de Serre-Ponçon, and the legendary roads of the Route Napoléon.

Here, you are in Provence, at the gateway to the Luberon, the lavender fields, the Ubaye Valley, and the Gorges du Verdon, and close to hiking trails, cycling routes, bike paths, and roads popular with motorcyclists and biker inns.
Our services and facilities are comparable in quality to those of a hotel, but the spirit is different: you are at home with us, in our family home, where the welcome is personalized, warm, and caring.
Each room or dormitory automatically includes a homemade breakfast, for a gentle, gourmet, and rejuvenating start to the day.

Table d'hôtes & inn
When you make your reservation, you can choose to dine at the table d’hôtes, a complete homemade, locally sourced meal, prepared with love, using quality local products and influences combining French cuisine, flavors from around the world, and creative touches.
Our cuisine aims to be:
- gourmet,
- healthy,
- adaptable to all diets: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, light or more comforting cuisine,
- inspired by the seasons, the market, and encounters.
We are not a restaurant: we serve a single dish, carefully thought out. That’s why we ask you to let us know a few days in advance, so that we can cater to your tastes, dietary restrictions, and desires.
In addition, we also offer snacks: local cheeses and cold cuts, homemade spreads, local products, and more.
And big news:
👉 We are now opening our table outside once or twice a week in the form of a friendly inn, accessible to travelers and village residents alike.
The pool
Our swimming pool is open from May to October, and is ideal for cooling off on hot summer days. The pool is surrounded by a terrace with sun loungers for relaxing in the sun. In season, the pool is open daily from 9am to 9pm.
The Terrace
A terrace with mountain views is available to all.
The living room / dining room
The living/dining room opens onto the terrace. It is available for eating, playing or relaxing, alone or with friends.
An independent cottage, in addition to the rooms
In addition to our guest rooms and dormitory, we now have a cottage adjoining the house, which is completely independent and can accommodate up to 4 people.
It includes:
- a private garden,
- direct access to the swimming pool (open from May to October),
- two bedrooms,
- a fully equipped kitchen,
- a cozy living room.
It is the perfect alternative for families, friends, or travelers looking for independence while enjoying the comfort and hotel services of the house.

La Maison des Hôtes is located in the heart of the village of La Motte-du-Caire, a stone’s throw from shops, restaurants, and hiking trails.
We offer:
